Type locality: “Valle de Lago Blanco, Koslowsky region, Patagonia, 46°S”; restricted to Estancia Valle Huemules (45°57′S, 71°31′W, 593 m), Río Senguerr, Chubut Prov., Argentina by Pardiñas et al. (2007: 406).

The intelligent grass mouse or Patagonian akodont (Akodon iniscatus) is a species of rodent in the family Cricetidae.[2] It is found in Argentina and Chile.[1]
