Chiropodomys calamianensis (Taylor, 1934)
Holotype: UIMNH 33391 (formerly EHT 104), ♀, body in alcohol witk skull removed, collected by E.H. Taylor on 18 April 1918.
Type locality: “at sea level near Minuit, Busuanga Island, Calamianes”, Philippines.

Vernacular names
English: Palawan Pencil-tailed Tree Mouse
The Palawan pencil-tailed tree mouse (Chiropodomys calamianensis) is a species of arboreal rodent in the family Muridae. It is known from lowland forest near sea level, coconut groves, and bamboo thickets.[1] It is endemic to the Palawan Faunal Region in the Philippines.[1][2] It has been recorded on Balabac, Busuanga, Palawan, Dumaran, and Calauit islands.[1]
