Name
Acer rubescens Hayata, J. Coll. Sci. Imp. Univ. Tokyo 30(1): 66 (1911).
Taxonomic notes:
Flora of Taiwan (2nd Edition) and the Flora of China treat this under Acer morrisonense Hayata. It is here treated as a distinct species.
A confusion exists about the synonym Acer morrisonense the taxon to which Hayata gave this name in 1911. Acer caudatifolium is different from that named Acer morrisonense by H.L.Li in 1963 and which is actually A. rubescens.
