Note: Lechenaultia is the most common spelling found in Australia where the genus is endemic, but see IPNI citation and they and Govaerts et al. (2021) prefer Leschenaultia using an etymology based upon Brown honouring Leschenault de la Tour, Jean Baptiste Louis (Claude) Théodore (1773-1826).
