Astomaea is a genus of flowering plants in the family Apiaceae, with 2 species.[1][2] It is endemic to Southwest Asia.[3][4]
Arabs in the Levant, especially in the Land of Israel, collect the roots and bulbs of the Astoma seselifolia which are then roasted and eaten.[5]
