Name

Cyrtodactylus aaroni Günther & Rösler, 2003

Type locality: Wondiwoi Berge etwa 7 km westlich des Fischerdorfes Yeretuar, 550 m [elevation], 2° 56’ S, 134° 36’ E, Kabupaten (Bezirk) Paniai oder Manokwari, Papua, Indonesien.

Vernacular names
English: Aaron's Bow-fingered Gecko

Cyrtodactylus aaroni is a species of gecko, a lizard in the family Gekkonidae. The species is endemic to western Papua New Guinea, Indonesia.[1][2]

Etymology

The specific name, aaroni, is in honor of American herpetologist Aaron M. Bauer.[3]
Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of C. aaroni is forest, at altitudes of 500–700 m (1,600–2,300 ft).[1]
Reproduction

Cyrtodactylus aaroni is oviparous.[2]
