Type locality: “Filipinas [=Philippines]”, redesigned by neotype designation to “at 860-m elevation (17º27'22.51" N, 121º12'52.52" E; datum 5 WGS84) in Barangay Balbalan Proper ‘‘Old Balbalan’’, Municipality of Balbalan, Kalinga Province, Luzon Island, Philippines”, by Siler, Jones, Welton & Brown (2011: 304).

English: Common Short-legged Skink
The common short-legged skink (Brachymeles elerae) is a species of skink endemic to the Philippines. It is found throughout most of the country, albeit very rarely, and hence the species is poorly characterized.[1][2]
