Thallomys is a genus of rodent in the family Muridae endemic to Africa.[1] It contains four species:
Loring's rat (Thallomys loringi)
Black-tailed tree rat (Thallomys nigricauda)
Acacia rat (Thallomys paedulcus)
Shortridge's rat (Thallomys shortridgei)
