The white-spotted woodpecker (Veniliornis spilogaster) is a species of bird in the family Picidae. It is found in Brazil, Uruguay, eastern Paraguay and northeastern Argentina.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, subtropical or tropical moist montane forest, and heavily degraded former forest.
