Conium (play /koʊˈnaɪ.əm/ or /ˈkoʊniəm/) is a genus of two species of highly poisonous perennial herbaceous flowering plants in the family Apiaceae, native to Europe and the Mediterranean region as Conium maculatum, and to southern Africa as Conium chaerophylloides.
