Type species: Mystacidium capense (L.f.) Schltr., Die Orchideen: 597 (1914)
Lectotype: Limodorum longicornu Sw. This name is now accepted as a synonym of Mystacidium capense (L.f.) Schltr. (Epidendrum capense L.f.) invalidly selected by Pfeiffer, Nomencl. Bot. (Pfeiffer), 2(1): 401 (1874)
