Rineloricaria lima (Kner, 1853)
Holotype (unique): NMW (probably lost).
Type locality: Brazil.
Etymology: From Latin lima (= file or rasp), possibly referring to sharp bristles on sides of snout (of males) and/or “very rough” (translation) plates on trunk. (From The ETYFish Project)

Rineloricaria lima[1] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it is known from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. The species is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[2]
