Vernacular names
English: Mountain Pocket Gopher
The mountain pocket gopher (Thomomys monticola) is a species of rodent in the family Geomyidae.
It is found in California and Nevada, and is endemic there, in the Western United States.[1] The Sierra Nevada are part of its range.
