NOTE: all 3 species are listed as valid in Isocanace by Systema Dipterorum Version 1.0. Last updated: 10 August 2010, including the type species, and yet the genus Trichocanace is listed as valid! I can find no literature to suggest synonymy or placement of the species in Isocanace, so I have followed Munari & Mathis (2010: 17)

Gender: feminine
Type species: Trichocanace sinensis Wirth, 1951
