Relative viscosity ( \( {\displaystyle \eta _{r}} ) ) (a synonym of "viscosity ratio") is the ratio of the viscosity of a solution ( \( {\displaystyle \eta } \)) to the viscosity of the solvent used ( \( {\displaystyle \eta _{s}} \)),
