Total Cross Section, Elastic Scattering and Diffraction Dissociation (TOTEM) is one of the six detector experiments being constructed at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland. It shares intersection point I5 with the Compact Muon Solenoid. The detector will be used to measure total cross section, elastic scattering and diffractive processes.
