Torsten Carleman
Torsten Carleman (8 July 1892 – 11 January 1949), born Tage Gills Torsten Carleman, was a Swedish mathematician.
Carleman is remembered in mathematical analysis for remarkable results on integral equations, quasi-analytic functions, harmonic analysis, trigonometric series, approximation theory, the problem of moments and Boltzmann's equation.
He was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1926.
