Name
Millettieae Miq. (1855)
Type genus: Millettia Wight & Arn., nom. cons.
Synonyms
Heterotypic
Tephrosieae (Benth.) Hutch. (1964)
Galegeae subtribe Tephrosiinae Benth. (1865)
Lonchocarpeae (Benth.) Hutch. (1964)
Dalbergieae subtribe Lonchocarpinae Benth. (1860)
Note: This tribe is polyphyletic and many genera form a well supported clade with elements of Phaseoleae. However, circumscription of a revised tribe Millettieae is not possible at present until genera are more comprehensively sampled (Legumes of the World, 2016 & Kajita et al., 2001).
