Notes

The genus was formerly often included in Potentilla (Mabberley 2002), but is genetically distinct (Eriksson et al. 2003). Often found as monotypic with Farinopsis segregated (Govaerts et al. 2020)

Comarum is a genus of plants formerly included with the genus Potentilla ("typical cinquefoils"). It contains one or two species:[1][2]

Comarum palustre – marsh cinquefoil, swamp cinquefoil[3]
Comarum salesowianum (sometimes included in C. palustre[verification needed])
