Dicoria canescens (*)
Dicoria canescens is a flowering plant in the daisy family known by the common name desert twinbugs. This is a plant of the United States' desert southwest, especially the Mojave Desert. This is a plant which forms bushes or thickets of many individuals in the desert sand. The distinctive lower leaves are long, pointed, sharply toothed, and covered in a coat of thin white or gray hairs. The upper leaves are smaller and more rounded. The flowers sometimes grow in pairs of rounded buds, a characteristic which is the origin of the common name "twinbugs". External links
