Note: The family name Erysiphaceae has sometimes been erroneously credited to J.H.Léveillé (Ann. Sci. Nat., Bot. sér. 3, 15: 135. 1851 (‘Erysiphés’)) [unranked suprageneric name with inadmissible non-Latin ending]) or Tul. & C.Tul. (Select. Fung. Carpol. 1: 191. 1861 (‘Erysiphei’) [unranked suprageneric entity]), but in none of these works was the family name validly published, and hence these citations should be disregarded.
